This is how my dad treats his Fat Boy when he’s not riding his ZZR.

Is it just me or is the following bike hardly leaning? Not to detract, riding like that takes balls. Especially continuing after the rear end loses traction like that.

wonder where he moved the footpegs to. The location of the footpegs/footboards is what limits the lean angle of cruisers.

I wish they’d ride like this in NW Arkansas. Instead, you’re lucky if they make it back up to 5 below the speed limit in the short straights between curves...

Dude can GET. IT. Loved it when he lost the rear end, saved it, and promptly got back on the throttle and his ass cheeks off the side again.

This is some of my old riding buddies. Any idea why I stopped riding with them?

But I was looking at the bike too. I wonder if two bikes leaning the same degrees over are turning at the same radius? I’m thinking no as I can affect how much my bike is turning by my body position. So I would think the Harley really does have to lean way more over than the sport bike to make the same turn.

Anybody, given the will and the skill can ride the chicken strips off a bike. I’ve always been impressed watchign what someone skilled can do on an H-D or ‘Wing in a Lee Parks course or similar.

I had a similar experience at the non-sportbike track day I attended earlier this year. I was on my PC800 (admittedly not a super fast bike) and ended up behind a dude on a Harley for a few laps. I couldn’t catch him - he rode the hell out of that thing! When I saw him in class afterward I had to shake his hand.

I don’t understand the physics behind it, but hanging off reduces lean angle.

Seems the sport bike has to be careful not to accidentally overtake the harley guy.... so I’m guessing that the speeds aren’t very high and the harley guy is probably over-doing his lean for the camera....

When I still had them attached, the standoffs on my foot pegs were bent right in due to this type of activity. They used to dig in and jump the rear over. They both dug in and snapped off when I crashed last year. Now the pegs snap up and my foot goes flying. I want forward controls just to get them the hell out of the way.
